Family Day at Great American Ball Park

The Fourth Annual Family Day fundraiser at Great American Ball Park was held on Sunday June 13th as the NL Central Division Champion Cincinnati Reds took on the up-and-coming Kansas City Royals in an interleague matchup. Please check back this winter for more information on the 2011 Family Day game.

Second Annual Basketball Coaches Showcase

Rob Blanton, Director of Athletics of Little Miami High School, and Bill Barnhill, Event Director, are proud to announce the Second Annual Kevin C. Barnhill Basketball Coaches Showcase, scheduled for Saturday November 27, 2010. Little Miami, Reading, Loveland, and Clermont-Northeastern varsity and junior varsity teams will be featured in a day-long showcase of interscholastic and youth basketball starting at 11:00 am at Little Miami High School. Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Ohio Athletic Association “Kids Who Care” Foundation and the Kevin C. Barnhill Memorial Scholarship and Community Outreach Fund. 

The varsity basketball showcase will start at 6:00 pm with Loveland vs. CNE followed by Little Miami vs. Reading at 7:30 pm. Loveland and CNE junior varsity teams will play at 3:00 pm followed by Little Miami vs. Reading JV at 4:30 pm. Tickets are $3.00 in advance. Day of event: Adults $6 and Students $4. Children under 6 are free. The Basketball Coaches Showcase is a partnership of the Ohio Athletic Association Foundation Service Week initiative which provides for a interscholastic basketball event to be a platform to highlight a designated community service activity chosen by the participating schools. The Kevin C. Barnhill Memorial Scholarship and Community Outreach Fund is the designated community service organization. Formed posthumously in 2006 in memory of Kevin C. Barnhill, a Little Miami High basketball star from 1994-1997, the Fund has awarded over $14,000 in scholarships to Little Miami High School student-athletes and has constructed and operated the Kevin C. Barnhill Championship Baseball Field in Maineville. Since its inception over 1,100 youth baseball players from Warren and adjacent counties have played on its championship surface.
